New HyVolt Truck is an Award Winner at The Great American Trucking Show

Jackson, MS – Ergon Trucking, Inc.’s new HyVolt-wrapped truck received third place in the “Working Combo - Company Truck - 2013 & Newer” category at Overdrive’s Pride and Polish Competition. The event took place at The Great American Trucking Show, which was held in Dallas, Texas, from August 22 - 24, 2013.

Driven and presented by Ergon Trucking’s James Lockhart, the 2013 Black & Purple Peterbilt 386/2008 Polar Tanker earned high marks against competitors from across the country.

“Our standard Ergon trucks are some of the best looking vehicles out there, but when we created the ‘HyVolt Express’, we really took things to another level,” said Clyde Kilgore, Central Regional Manager for Ergon Trucking. “It truly held its own against the competition.” Ergon Trucking goes to great lengths to provide industry-leading vehicles for its drivers. “Keeping our fleet clean, up to date, and well-maintained are all important elements of safety and customer service,” he said.

To be included in the Working Combo category, competing trucks must drive 75,000 miles annually, and average at least 6,250 miles per month. The HyVolt Express easily meets these criteria transporting Ergon’s HyVolt Insulating Oil to customers across the U.S. Its design was introduced earlier this year and is unique among Ergon Trucking’s 126 company-truck fleet.

“The HyVolt truck has a ‘wow’ factor unlike anything I’ve ever seen on the road in our industry,” said Lance Puckett, Ergon’s Vice President of Petroleum Specialties Marketing – North & South America. “It does an amazing job bringing awareness to our new HyVolt brand identity, and we’re very pleased to see it recognized in this competition.”

Ergon Trucking delivers approximately 9/10 of all Ergon specialty oil shipments. The company maintains a fleet of over 100 trucks dedicated to Ergon North & South America operations to ensure high standards of quality control, shorter lead times and prompt deliveries.
