Tue., Feb 17, 2015

Vicksburg, Miss. — Ergon Refining, Inc. was awarded the 2014 PlantWeb Excellence Award by the Emerson Global Users Exchange, a non-profit organization that facilitates the exchange of non-proprietary information with an emphasis on the technologies, solutions and services of Emerson Process Management’s PlantWeb architecture.

According to the Emerson Global Users Exchange, more than 30 nominees were evaluated and interviewed for the award and only three finalists were chosen. Finalists were required to demonstrate improvement in capital, operating expenditures and risk, as well as operational gains such as quality, availability and throughput. Judges looked for documented proof of these results.

Don Davis, President of Ergon Refining, said, “We are honored to receive the 2014 PlantWeb Excellence Award. PlantWeb’s process management architecture has had a remarkable impact on the efficiency, safety and capabilities of our refinery, and our team did an amazing job implementing that technology and demonstrating the results.”

Ergon Refining’s specialty naphthenic oil refinery in Vicksburg, Mississippi, implemented a wide variety of Emerson’s PlantWeb technologies with great success. These implementations resulted in numerous capital and operational improvements.
